Cross Country Runners Receive All-Section Honors
Cross Country team members Carter Kent, Lucy Meiss, and Charles Meiss were selected as First-Team All-Section runners by a vote of the coaches in WPIAL Division II, Section 5! Additionally, Niamh McClaflin received an Honorable Mention. Well done to all!

Congratulations to senior Lucia Meiss and sophomore Carter Kent for qualifying to compete in the PIAA Cross Country State Championships! Their impressive performances at the WPIAL Cross Country Championships have earned them a spot at the state level.Carter achieved an impressive milestone by medaling in the Boys Class A race, breaking the school record with a time of 16:48.3 and securing 14th place overall out of 170 runners. Lucy also delivered a strong performance, finishing 28th overall out of 135 runners in the Girls Class A race with a time of 21:25.4.Both athletes will represent California HS at the State Championships on Saturday, November 2, in Hershey. Best of luck to Lucy and Carter!

Lucy Meiss and Carter Kent each earned all-county honors at the Washington County Coaches Cross Country Championships at Mingo Creek Country Park on Tuesday.
