Lee Qualk wins WPIAL District VII Class AA Long Jump Championship
Lee Qualk successfully defended his long jump title at the WPIAL Individual Track and Field Championships, winning the gold for the second consecutive year with a leap of 22’-8”. Lee will now advance to the PIAA Track and Field Championships on May 23 at Shippensburg University.

Four Trojan Track & Field Athletes Advance to States
Five Trojan track athletes medaled and 4 advanced to the state championships with outstanding performances at the WPIAL Individual Track & Field Championships at Slippery Rock University. Lee Qualk - 1st Place - Boys Long Jump - 22’-8”.Andrew Typovsky- 4th Place - Javelin - 154’-9”.Christian Ross - Javelin - 5th Place 154-6”Ella Neil - High Jump - 6th Place - 5’-2”.These athletes will advance to the PIAA State Track & Field Championships on May 23 at Shippensburg University. Hayley Gibson also medaled in shot put with a throw of 32’-1.25” - 8th Place.

Carter Kent Breaks School Record in 1600
Carter Kent broke the school record in the 1600 at the WPIAL Individual Track & Field Championships with a time of 4:26.13 and finished in 9th place. His time met the state qualifying standard, but due to the WPIAL 8-person limit for states, Carter just missed advancing to the state championships. This was the third time this season that Carter broke the school record in the 1600.

Lee Qualk had a standout performance in the long jump at the Baldwin Invitational on Friday night. His jump of 23’-5.5” earned him first place out of 75 competitors, set a new school record by more than a foot, and currently ranks him first in the state in Class AA and fourth overall in Pennsylvania. The boys' team defeated Mount Pleasant (85-64) but fell to South Park (79-71) and Beaver (91-59). Beaver advanced to the WPIAL Team Championships.The girls' team defeated Southmoreland (71-60) but fell to Freeport (106-43) and Carlynton (106-34). Ella Neil Named Washington-Greene County Coaches Championships Field Events MVP
Ella Neil won the gold in the triple jump, silver in the high jump, and bronze in the long jump and was named the girls' Field Event MVP today at the county Championships!Additionally, Lee Qualk won the gold in the long jump and Carter Kent won the 800. Kent Breaks School Record in the 800
Carter Kent, grade 10, broke his own school record late Thursday evening at the Butler Invitational. Carter's time of 2:00.05 seconds bested his previous record by 0.4 seconds. Running against many of the top runners in Western PA, from all classifications, Carter finished 19th out of 106 boys in that event. Congratulations , Carter!
