Track Team Collects a Bunch of Medals at County Championships

The Trojan track teams had a big day at the Washington-Greene County Championships on Saturday at Peters Township Stadium. 15 times Trojan athletes reached the medal stand.
- Carter Kent won the silver medal in the 1600 (4:50.34) and placed 6th in the 800 (2:10.78)
- Niamh McClaflin medaled twice. He was 4th in the 800 (2:08.76) and 5th in the 1600 (4:57.79)
- Ella Neil took home two medals, finishing 3rd in the Triple Jump (33'-1") and 4th in the high jump (4'-10")
- Raegan Gillen was 3rd in the Long Jump with a PR of (16'4.75") and 6th in the High Jump (4’-6”) earning two medals
- Lee Qualk also won two medals. He 5th in the Long Jump (20’-5.75”) and 8th in the 100 (11.92)
- Noah Neil was 5th in the 110 High Hurdles (18.06)
- Christian Ross was 5th in the triple jump (38’-3.5”)
- Dylan Henry narrowly missed the school record in the discus with a PR of 118’1” to finish 4th
- Landon Abercrombie finished 4th in the javelin with a PR of 143’-0” that crushed his previous personal best effort by almost 19 feet
- Fred Sherman finished 5th in the javelin with a mark of 140’-8”
