Trojan Track Teams Opens Season with Sweeps

The boys and girls track teams each opened the season with sweeps to start the year with identical 3-0 records. The boys beat Beth-Center (92-52), Charleroi (80-63), and West Greene (109-13). The girls beat Beth-Center (89-43), Charleroi (97-36) and West Greene (84-35).Also, Ella Neil set a new PR and tied the school high jump record, clearing 5'-3". Kayla Saeli Signs with Pitt Greensburg

California Senior Kayla Saeli has signed with the University Of Pitt (Greensburg).  A star player for the California Lady Trojans Kayla will now continue her softball career as a Pitt Panther. Congrats Kayla on your signing and best of luck at the college level! She is flanked by Head Softball Coach Matt White and Assistant Softball Coach Bernard Charnovich. 

From Trojans to Presidents-Signing Day!

Congratulations to Seniors Ella Neil-Christian Ross & Lucy Meiss as they signed their Letter of Intent to attend W & J College this Fall.  They will also continue their athletic careers in Cross Country & Track/Field. Three Stars from the same HS attending the same college participating in the same Sport is Awesome!!! Big things await these newest W & J Presidents!!!!

Mason Wright headed to Hershey for the PIAA State Wrestling Championships.

Congratulations to Mason Wright who with his 6th Place Finish at Regionals qualifies for the PIAA State Wrestling Championships in Hershey, PA.  The Championships are this Thursday & Friday ( 3/6 & 3/7).  Best of Luck Mason!!!!

WPIAL Championships

This past weekend three of our very own Cal Wrestlers (Co-op w/BC) placed at the WPIAL Championships earning a spot in this Friday's Regional tournament in Altoona.  The top 7 wrestlers qualify for Regionals ( the last stop before the State Tournament).  These are the three qualifiers:Mason Wright-4th    Noah Layhue-3rd     Malachi Peak-3rdCongrats to these Wrestlers and best of luck in the Regionals!

Mason & Malachi - Wrestling Champions!

Congratulations to Wrestlers Mason Wright and Malachi Peak who took 1st place in the Bedford Wrestling Tournament.  Mason reached the top of the podium at 133lbs while Malachi also achieved top of the podium at 189lbs.  The tournament hosted 36 teams which made this a special accomplishment!

Lady Trojans Basketball Tournament Champions!

Congratulations to our Lady Trojans Girls Basketball Team for winning the Lady Mapletown Christmas Tournament!  Hayley Gibson was named tournament MVP.  This is a Great accomplishment for this very Young Squad and expectations are very high with these ladies…Great Job Coach Sutherland & Coach Wright!!! 

Niko & Lee All-State Team.

The PA football News Coaches have selected the Class 1A All-State Team for the 2024 Season.  The California Trojans have place two players on this most prestigious Team.  Niko Georgagis has been named 1st team Middle Linebacker on Defense.  Lee Qualk was named 2nd team Running back on Offense.  Congratulations to two of the BEST to ever do it for THE CAL FB Fam…now the State of PA knows their impact as well.
